The Five Refinishers Entries

Katie Cloud – Owner, Katie & Co. Furniture Restorations

Hi! I’m Katie, owner of Katie & Co. Furniture Restorations. I paint and restyle vintage furniture and make soy candles and hand made signs. I painted my first piece of furniture eleven years ago and have been hooked on creating ever since! I have a small shop in Moville, Iowa where I sell my creations. My darling daughter who is five keeps me on my toes! I’m a lover of coffee, family, animals, food, country livin’ & all things vintage!

Lindsay Eidahl – Owner, My Creative Days

Lindsay has been married to her DIY sidekick for 17 years. She is also a mother or two. Since they bought their first home, Lindsay and her husband have been creatively decorating their home on a tight budget. Not being able to go into stores and buy things brand new created a passion for getting the same look for a lot less. Their DIY decor and repurposed projects got a lot of attention among family and friends which pushed Lindsay to start her blog, My Creative Days. Now, the budget-friendly projects continue, but they are shared with all her readers full time! She would love for you to head over to her blog or social channels and say, “Hi!”

Amanda Freed – Owner of  The Ugly Duckling Decor

I started The Ugly Duckling Decor after working as a corporate retail manager and hating it. I realized I only have one life to live and I should spend it doing what I love. The idea of being able to transform an old piece of “junk” into a usable and beautiful piece of furniture in your home started when I went to Virginia Tech and needed a cheap way to furnish my apartment room. Even as young as 6 years old, I enjoyed rearranging furniture and looking through JCPenny Bed and Home catalogs. My Mom would come home from work and all the furniture in the house would be moved around. I was always trying to make a room look better or used more efficiently. I never thought that I could turn those habits into a potential career.
