With the decision made out of hundreds of entries, we are now ready to open the voting to the public. Your votes will accumulate into a 50% weight – the judges carry an equal weight as well. Once the voting concludes on August 2, we will tabulate the votes, along with the judge’s votes, and announce on Tuesday, August 7 our First, Second and Third Place Winners! All The Votes From The Public And Our Four Judges Have Been Tabulated!
We had thousands of votes from the public and our four Judges have weighed in as well.
Below you will see the results for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place from our Top 40.
As a reminder, below is the criteria by which the winners were chosen by the public and judges:
1. Is there a dramatic improvement in the piece from its BEFORE to its AFTER?
2. Does the AFTER show ingenuity and creativity of the original piece and does it show an appreciation for the original design?
3. Staging and photography (many times a beautiful piece loses its appeal because of poor staging and photography).
4. We don’t want to forget the subjective aspect of art – what one person finds beautiful, another may find undesirable – with that in mind, remember what you are drawn to from an aesthetic appeal and vote!
